An association born
from meeting others.
Founded in 2020, the Associação Conexão com Deus no Século XXI is a private, non-profit association based in Arroios, Lisbon.
Our story
We started in 2020, in the middle of a crisis, from the impulse of a group of people who were already supporting one another outside any formal structure. What began as occasional help became an association with statutes, governing bodies and accounts — so that the help could be serious, sustained and transparent.
In 2023 we moved our headquarters to Rua José Estêvão, in Arroios, to be closer to the people we accompany. It is there that classes, workshops, meetings and the conversations nobody puts in a calendar take place.
What defines us
We do not ask for a CV from those who need help. We work with concrete people in concrete situations, and we measure success by what changes in their lives — not by the number of reports we produce.
